[Purpose/significance] This study aims at summarizing and analyzing the Public Library Law and the research results related to the library law, so as to provide theoretical reference for the future theoretical research of the Public Library Law and the legal cause of libraries. [Methods/process] The Public Library Law and the achievements related to library Law in China from 2018 to 2023 were analyzed, and the research content of library law was systematically sorted out. [Result/conclusion] It is concluded that the research on library law focuses on such topics as content interpretation, legal text, legal implementation, legal system and legal comparison. Finally, suggestions for the study of library law in China were put forward. Optimization path: Strengthen empirical research on the Public Library Law, enhance scientific research on library law, strengthen research on legal implementation evaluation, conduct in-depth research on the Public Library Law from the perspective of the legal system, and conduct legal research on other types of libraries to improve the predictability of library law research.
